An automatic watch uses a heavy hammer or similar structure (automatic rotor) set in the movement to drive the automatic rotor onto the chain by hand movement. When you get a new watch, the watch usually does not work because the power has been completely released and has not been wound enough yet.
So when we get the watch, we first need to wind and set the watch. There are two ways to wind, one is to self-winding, and the other is hand-winding.
Automatic mechanical watches generally need to be worn for 8 hours to be fully wound. If the watch stops working because there is no power, you only need to hold the watch in your hand and shake it against the surface for a while to automatically wind the watch.
All Pouying automatic mechanical watches have the manual-winding function. Pull out the crown to the first level and turn the crown clockwise to manually wind the watch. When rotating, we will feel a slight and uniform winding resistance, and hear a small rustling sound. Generally, the watch can be fully wound after 20 to 30 spins.
Push the crown into its original position.
To wind and adjust time are the same as automatic mechanical watches with three-handed push/pull crowns. The difference is that before hand-winding and time adjustment, the screw-down crown needs to be unscrewed. After the adjustment is completed, the crown needs to be screwed in to reposition.
1. Rotate about three times in the counterclockwise direction, the crown will be naturally ejected to the first level by the built-in spring, and then turn clockwise to wind it manually.
2. Pull out the crown to the second level (for some watches, you may have to pull out to the third level) can adjust the time clockwise.
3. When screwing in, first push the crown into the first level, and gently press the crown while slowly turning the crown clockwise by half a turn. After you feel the crown and the watch teeth bite, push the crown slightly and screw in to make it tighten.

And for the second level of the crown is to adjust the calendar, the third level of the crown is to adjust the time.
Unscrew the crown counterclockwise and pull out the crown to the second level. Turn it counterclockwise to adjust the calendar.
